Webcams & Bingocams Community
At Bingocams you can communicate with other players in the room by using the chat box at the bottom of the page. You also have the option to chat privately with other players by using the private chat function.
Players can type messages into group chat by using the rectangular box at the bottom of the page. This will display messages to all players in the room. Any private messages will not be displayed in the group chat. The group chat box is used for chatting to all players present in the room as well as playing any available chat games at the time.
There is some useful information displayed at the top of the bingo chat room window such as number of friends, number of players, and number of players with active webcams. The main chat area is the large rectangular section in the centre of the screen and will contain all group chat visible by everyone in the room. Any messages typed in this section will show as the username first and then the message. Various options will be displayed if you click on the username such as block user, add as buddy and report abuse. Just above the main chat area are the ‘Do not broadcast my Live Win Moments’ and ‘Refuse private chat requests’ options. Your live webcam stream will not be shown when you win a prize if you check the box marked ‘Do not show my Live Win Moment’ option. It will be impossible for other Bingocams players to request private chats with you if you check the box marked ‘Refuse private chat requests’.
To help improve your bingo experience, we allow you to block any unwanted private chat requests from any player. By clicking on ‘block user’, you will automatically decline any private chat requests from that particular player.
Adding users to your 'buddy-list' / friends list
At Bingocams we have a friends list where you can add your favourite players and keep in touch with them whilst playing bingo. You can add players to your buddy-list by clicking on ‘add as buddy’. Your buddy-list can be found on the far right hand side of the screen under the Buddies tab where all users in the room are usually displayed.
Reporting abuse by users
When you notice negativity of any kind in group chat by any player, you can report them anonymously by clicking on ‘report abuse’. If there is no chat host present in the room, the report will be sent directly to Bingocams player support. When you click on the ‘report abuse’ option, you will be given options about the nature of the complaint and also an area to type in a small description of the complaint. Bingocams takes all statements seriously and will act promptly and appropriately to all reports received.
Chatting in the Bingo room chat window
You can type messages in the main chat room by clicking on the rectangular box right at the bottom of the page and typing your message. When you have typed your message and press ENTER, everyone in the room will be able to see your message.
Small icons can also be used in addition to text in the main room. By clicking on the yellow smiley next to the text field, Bingocams allows you to choose from a selection of ‘smileys’. Some smileys can only be used by players who have a certain player status such as silver or gold.
You can choose to chat to only one user privately rather than chatting in the main room. To do this, just click on the player’s username and select ‘Start private chat’ from the options. A window will be displayed to the selected player asking them to accept the request you have sent. You will also receive a notification of this and it can take a couple of minutes while they make their decision. You can have up to 3 private chat conversations at the same time.
The private chat window consists of the following parts: the live chat window, the conversation window in the centre, the tab pages of the users with whom you are having a private chat, the text field and the profile window.
Having a private chat conversation
The live chat window is located to the left of the private chat window. If your chat partner has an active webcam, their live stream will be displayed on that box. Otherwise, a small rectangular button will be displayed.
The conversation window displays all messages sent and received and is displayed in the centre of the private chat window.
You can have private chats with up to 3 players at the same time. You can switch between the active private chats with different players by clicking on their usernames on the tabs located along the bottom of the conversation window. Each tab will have the player’s username to make it easy to find a certain player.
Below the user tab pages, you will find the text field where you can enter your messages. When you type in your message and press ENTER, your message will be displayed in the private chat window and sent to that particular player.
You can click on any player’s username to bring up other options. By selecting ‘remove from chat’ you will end the current private chat conversation with them. If you select ‘block user’ you can ensure any requests or messages from that particular user are not received. ‘Add as buddy’ will allow you to add a player to your friends list and make it easier to communicate with them whilst you are in different rooms. The ‘Report abuse’ option can be used when a player has broken any of the Bingocams chat rules.
The profile button can be found on the far right of the private chat window. By clicking on this, you will be able to view the profile of the player with whom you are chatting.
You can share your excitement and celebrations with other players face to face by activating your webcam.
Activating your own webcam
In order to activate your webcam, just click on the activate webcam button located in the top right corner of the room. A window will then appear in the centre of the screen with your live webcam stream where you will be able to confirm activation of your webcam or not.
You may also receive an Adobe Flash Player security window asking whether you would like to allow Bingocams to access your webcam. You can accept this by checking the circle marked ‘allow’ and then ‘close’.
You can then close the webcam window by clicking on the ‘x’ in the top right corner of the window. You will then be able to see your live webcam stream in the small windows where the activate webcam button used to be.
Bingocams rules state that you must be present and clearly visible whenever your webcam is switched on.
Bingocams does not allow webcam overlays or to add images to the webcam stream using any other methods.
You can deactivate your webcam by clicking on the image of your live webcam stream on the far right of the screen. The webcam window will open again and you will then have the option to turn your webcam off. If your webcam is active, your live stream will be shown in the centre of the webcam window. If not, a webcam icon will be shown.
The Adobe Flash Player security window may also appear again, in which case you would just have to select ‘don’t allow’ and click close.
Bingocams has a number of different chat hosts who are there to guide the discussions and ensure the chat in the bingo rooms are kept fun and friendly. They can also answer questions which are not account specific.
If a player is found to have broken one of our chat rules, a chat host can immediately take action and remove the player from the bingo game. Depending on the nature of the offence, the player may also be removed permanently from the site by Bingocams. This ensures that the nature of all chat in our bingo rooms is kept fun and positive.
Chat room rules also apply to all private conversations within the Bingocams applicaton. Any player who fails to comply with these rules may be immediately blocked from playing at Bingocams:
