Bingo Room Chat Window Bingo Room Chat Options Blocking users To help improve your bingo experience, we allow you to block any unwanted private chat requests from any player. By clicking on ‘block user’, you will automatically decline any private chat requests from that particular player. Adding users to your 'buddy-list' / friends list At Bingocams we have a friends list where you can add your favourite players and keep in touch with them whilst playing bingo. You can add players to your buddy-list by clicking on ‘add as buddy’. Your buddy-list can be found on the far right hand side of the screen under the Buddies tab where all users in the room are usually displayed. Reporting abuse by users When you notice negativity of any kind in group chat by any player, you can report them anonymously by clicking on ‘report abuse’. If there is no chat host present in the room, the report will be sent directly to Bingocams player support. When you click on the ‘report abuse’ option, you will be given options about the nature of the complaint and also an area to type in a small description of the complaint. Bingocams takes all statements seriously and will act promptly and appropriately to all reports received. Chatting in the Bingo room chat window You can type messages in the main chat room by clicking on the rectangular box right at the bottom of the page and typing your message. When you have typed your message and press ENTER, everyone in the room will be able to see your message. Smileys Small icons can also be used in addition to text in the main room. By clicking on the yellow smiley next to the text field, Bingocams allows you to choose from a selection of ‘smileys’. Some smileys can only be used by players who have a certain player status such as silver or gold. Having a private chat conversation The private chat window The live chat window is located to the left of the private chat window. If your chat partner has an active webcam, their live stream will be displayed on that box. Otherwise, a small rectangular button will be displayed. The conversation window displays all messages sent and received and is displayed in the centre of the private chat window. You can have private chats with up to 3 players at the same time. You can switch between the active private chats with different players by clicking on their usernames on the tabs located along the bottom of the conversation window. Each tab will have the player’s username to make it easy to find a certain player. Below the user tab pages, you will find the text field where you can enter your messages. When you type in your message and press ENTER, your message will be displayed in the private chat window and sent to that particular player. You can click on any player’s username to bring up other options. By selecting ‘remove from chat’ you will end the current private chat conversation with them. If you select ‘block user’ you can ensure any requests or messages from that particular user are not received. ‘Add as buddy’ will allow you to add a player to your friends list and make it easier to communicate with them whilst you are in different rooms. The ‘Report abuse’ option can be used when a player has broken any of the Bingocams chat rules. The profile button can be found on the far right of the private chat window. By clicking on this, you will be able to view the profile of the player with whom you are chatting. Activating your own webcam In order to activate your webcam, just click on the activate webcam button located in the top right corner of the room. A window will then appear in the centre of the screen with your live webcam stream where you will be able to confirm activation of your webcam or not. You may also receive an Adobe Flash Player security window asking whether you would like to allow Bingocams to access your webcam. You can accept this by checking the circle marked ‘allow’ and then ‘close’. You can then close the webcam window by clicking on the ‘x’ in the top right corner of the window. You will then be able to see your live webcam stream in the small windows where the activate webcam button used to be. Please note: Bingocams rules state that you must be present and clearly visible whenever your webcam is switched on. Bingocams does not allow webcam overlays or to add images to the webcam stream using any other methods. Turning off the webcam The Adobe Flash Player security window may also appear again, in which case you would just have to select ‘don’t allow’ and click close. Live chat hosts If a player is found to have broken one of our chat rules, a chat host can immediately take action and remove the player from the bingo game. Depending on the nature of the offence, the player may also be removed permanently from the site by Bingocams. This ensures that the nature of all chat in our bingo rooms is kept fun and positive.
